Delete your Markup account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Markup account and the data associated with it. Markup is a finance application (Android package com.aq.markup).

How to request deletion

To delete your account, send an email from the address registered with your Markup account to our support team. Include the details below so we can locate and verify your record.

Send the email from your registered email address
Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
Include your registered email and registered phone number
Mention the device on which you registered, if known

Email Deletion Request

Identity verification: For your security, requests must be sent from the email address registered with the account. We will not process deletion requests received from any other address.

What gets deleted

When your request is processed, the following account data is permanently removed from Markup:

Profile information (name, email, phone number)
Connected broker credentials and stored access tokens
Subscription records and model portfolio links
App preferences, watchlists, and saved settings
Login history and device identifiers

What may be retained

Some data is retained to comply with Indian financial regulations (SEBI), tax law, and audit requirements, or to defend against legal claims. This retained data is access-restricted and not used for any other purpose.

Communication logs related to disputes	Until the matter is resolved
Anonymised, aggregated analytics	Indefinite (cannot be linked back to you)

Processing time

We process verified account-deletion requests within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered address once deletion is complete.

Before you delete

Disconnect any linked brokers from the app's Manage Connections screen.
Cancel any active model-portfolio subscriptions to avoid further charges.
Download any reports or statements you may need for your records — these will no longer be accessible after deletion.
